Aruza interns sell what service?
Aruza interns sell a top-of-the-industry residential recurring pest control service. Pest control services are a necessity and commodity in the South-East United States, which many homeowners have along with their utility bill. Interns have the opportunity to sell quarterly pest control, bi-monthly pest control, mosquito control, termite prevention, and many more add-on services.
How do interns sell the service?
Aruza runs a widely successful direct to consumer door-to-door program, putting on over 133,000 new customers since 2018. Since Aruza’s service is residential, bringing the sale to the consumer’s residence unlocks sales techniques that cannot be achieved via traditional marketing or cold calling. Aruza’s sales cycle includes neighborhood bandwagoning, the use of non-verbal and paraverbal communication skills, identifying pest problems on the property, and walking the customer through the process of how we can protect their home.
How does the training work?
Aruza prides itself on its sales training program. Aruza offers pre-summer training, a beginning of the summer sales boot camp, daily morning meetings, sales shadowing, and several one-on-one training sessions with leaders. Aruza also has over 150 training videos, a 175-page sales manual, as well as other training avenues to ensure success.
Does Aruza house its interns?
Aruza takes the stress out of moving to a new city by setting up fully furnished housing including utilities near the office in our markets. The cost of the housing is fronted throughout the summer, so interns do not have to pay out of pocket. Interns can hit a bonus based on sales performance to get their housing paid for. Housing for interns helps promote an organic culture of competition and comradery.
What is the culture like at Aruza?
Aruza strives to have a competitive, supportive, and inclusive culture. Sales is a sport and Aruza treats it as such transforming your summer into a sports season feel. Aruza offers a handful of competitions and incentives so that our interns can compete against themselves, as well as others for prizes and to climb the leaderboard. Above all else Aruza encompasses a growth mindset and self-development philosophy, promoting our interns to leave our program the best possible version of themselves.
What is Aruza’s track record?
Aruza is an established, recognized, and well-respected company within the home services industry. Aruza has placed on the Inc. 5000 three times, Charlotte Business Journal’s Fast 50 twice, and was recognized as the 85th biggest pest control company in North America by PCT. Aruza has hosted over 800 interns since 2018, granting internship credit with hundreds of Universities.
Why does an internship with Aruza stand out on a resume?
Employers look for candidates whose resume shows impact and can back it up with numbers. Aruza’s average sales intern generated $55,000 in sales revenue during the summer of 2024. This proves to employers not only can their candidate provide an immediate impact coming in, but also broadcasts strong interpersonal communication skills. On top of that, companies headhunt door-to-door sales experience due to the coachable, strong-minded, goal-oriented, fearless rejection, and go-getter attitudes we instill in our interns.
Is a sales internship a smart career move for college students?
It’s simple. Sales is a universal skill that you will use in any industry or career path. 50% of all college graduates start their careers in some sort of sales role, a statistic that raised to 60% for Business majors and 88% for Marketing majors. The ability to skip or be a star in entry-level positions is possible with already developed sales skills upon graduation. If you are an individual with a growth mindset and strive for self-development, Aruza is the catalyst for you.
